Announcing exciting news! We are going to be merging along with A2F Blue this coming summer to form our new group: Kairos. Yup same name, same exciting fun, new people… We’re going to sunset this site and migrate to a new address: http://kairosfellowship.org/

Come and check out the new Kairos of Gracepoint Fellowship Church in Berkeley.

Last week, Kairos had an AMAZING time going down the concrete slide at Cordonices Park in Berkeley in the middle of the night! This video doesn’t do justice the thrill and shear delight of the experience. But you get a decent flavor…. Oh and then we had glow in the dark Frisbees.

I love Friday nights!

We had an amazing time at the beach… Check out the pics

This past weekend was the worldwide celebration of Valentine’s Day. In an effort to rebel against this silly holiday where notions of love commonly defined by media – we proceeded to continue our annual Valentine’s Day of Compassion, where members of our congregation split across the East Bay and visited convelesent homes, and transitional/shelter homes. In these places are members of society that are often neglected and overlooked, we brought our love to these people and experienced so much fun in doing so.

Each of us made 3-4 frames with versus of what true love is: God’s gift of Jesus to man. We sang some songs and danced in front of these senior citizens who seemed to have really enjoyed our presence. Jenn gave a short message on God’s love for us and we ended the time with hanging out with the residents. You don’t need to wait till next year to join us, we go very often so keep an eye out for that!

Here’s some of our prep work…

Finally, right when you think school is getting a little too stressful and need an outlet for some serious fun – action! An all-Kairos event – Maxwell Field Sports Night! Never been to one of our Sports Night before? Be prepared for alot of fun games involving frisbees, yoga balls as dodge balls, (you can even use them to peg Ken and Carmen) and the list goes on. Don’t miss this rare opportunity and invite your friends. Don’t forget your running shoes.

What better way than to kick into this suddenly blistering cold weather by celebrating the dawn of Autumn, and the end of Summer together. Some of us call it Moon Festival, others call it Mid-Autumn Festival. I call it an excuse to hang out and eat Chinese food! Learn more about this Chinese festival here. We’ll be arranging rides from Berkeley and going over to Ken and Carmen’s house to eat dinner and celebrate this festival together this coming Friday, September 12
